Kenyan man wishes Chelsea Clinton joy and happiness

Sources say Godwin Chepkurgor recently wrote a two page long letter to Chelsea meant to be sent through the American Ambassador in Kenya Michael Ranneberger on a ‘very private and personal issue’.

“I learnt that my beloved lady is engaged and plan to wed soon,” according to the letter. Mr. Chepkurgor is said to have wished Chelsea joy, happiness and success.

Despite her engagement to Marc Mezvinsky, Godwin Chepkurgor, 40, a councilor in Nakuru still believes there is a chance of getting Chelsea as life time partner.

Review: I want your wife!

It seems that theatre groups have continued to up their game in one way or another and are now churning out better and more creative plays.

Since February 4, The Festival of Creative Arts has been performing the comedy ‘I Want Your Wife’ at the Alliance Francaise.

The play is set in a middle-class family where a well to do couple, Sheila and Andrew, are both blissfully unaware of their alcohol-clouded indiscretions of the previous week.

The couple are not sure of what transpired when they separately got drunk and try to find excuses and lies to cover for what they might have done.

I Love You…I Think! Gay men and women married to the opposite sex

The dynamics of gay men and women married to the opposite sex

I have talked to a large number of gay men and women and the general consensus is that, after a life of living out their gay identities, engaging in same sex activities, entering into gay relationships, and with the onset of old age, when the need for stability and companionship beckons, they would, not as expected, choose to marry someone of their own gender, but would marry a person of the opposite sex, even with the knowledge that they are gay or lesbian. They are not denying or suppressing their gay identities.

Poll: What do you fear discovering about your partner and his family?

60% of Haiya! visitors have voted witchcraft as what they dread discovering about their partners. Vote and share your opinion about the issue.

Warning: Don't rush courtship

Stories of people who got married happily and later discovered that their spouses come from families that practice witchcraft are common to the ears of many Kenyans.

In most traditional Kenyan community settings, spies were used to look into the families of two young adults who were planning to be joined together in matrimony.

This ensured that people married from families that were compatible to their own.

For instance a family that practiced witchcraft married from another that did the same and vice versa.

“…I met him in a hotel, he looked at me, I liked him, he liked me…. And that is how we got married”, are these words just ok?

Facebook now Used for Evidence in Courts

Isaiah Esipisu

According to an article appearing in the online edition of the New York Daily, one law firm says that nearly one in five divorce cases they’re working on cited Facebook, a site that allows people to connect with past friends and make new ones.

According to Mark Keenam, 20 per cent of all the petitions he looked at were containing references to Facebook.

Facebook, a simple internet based social-networking forum, now has its content in the corridors of justice, with individuals using it as evidence to support their divorce cases.

Dangers of keeping friends of the opposite sex while married

A friend can be defined as one well known to another and regarded with affection and loyalty.

This definition if taken just the way it is then there is no reason for any eyebrows to be raised if married men keep  female friends or if  married women have male friends.

Most married couples find it difficult to convince their spouses that their friends of the opposite sex are just casual friends forcing some to break the friendships in order to keep the marriage

Facebook's impact on people's social lives

Lydia Njeri

New relationships are being borne out of facebook while others are ending.

A friend of mine met this really great guy, as she puts it, on facebook. They hit it off quite well and as time went by their facebook relationship went from casual to formal. After getting comfortable with one another through chatting, facebook messages and phone calls, they decided to take that bold step and take their relationship from the internet to real life.

There are those who think that Facebook is the best thing to ever happened in their social lives, while others are cursing the day they discovered it.
