The food, dance and music extravaganza dubbed Mugithi wa Mwaka had live performances by veteran Kikuyu benga musicians Musaimo, Kamande wa Kioi, Salim Junior, Timona Mburu, Lady Wanja, Queen Jane and John Njagi among many others.

‘I have a passion for youth,’ Wyre confesses as he begins to perform on the sunny afternoon at the launch of the ‘Ahead Together’ Festival, an initiative of Norvatis Pharma, a pharmaceutical firm that is going beyond the drugs to try and improve the social aspect of people living with epilepsy.

It may have been a chilly day in Nairobi but there was no deterring these youth who donned their costumes and took to the stage at the ‘Ahead Together’ Festival held at the Splash/Carnivore.
The youth from the NGO Youth on the Move (YotM) regaled the audience with a skit that was packed with information about epilepsy.
