The weekend entertainment checked in last Friday night with Swahili music, dance and food at the Coast Night held at the KICC grounds. Msenangu Brass Band, Nairobi Melody, Freshly Mwamburi’s Everest Band, Mzee Ngala and Them Mushrooms entertained at the well attended gig.

Nairobi went ethnic this past weekend with everything from Rhumba and Lingala to Mugithi and Swahili. Haiya! brings you the action.

Weekend entertainment kicked off last Friday night at the Carnivore with the Akamba cultural gig dubbed Kililimbi nite where Ken wa Maria, Bosco Mulwa and Peris Mueni entertained. The Safaricom sponsored event attracted a full house and unlike in previous such events, the gig started on time.
